Farmer Stand Page
This page is interactive and it works on grouping and sorting. I sewed all of the fruits and vegetables ahead of time so I had them ready for when I went to my grandmas house to use the sewing machine. The sewing for this page was fairly simple as it was primarily straight lines and I was just sewing to attach the boxes to the page which is easier than trying to sew two small parts together. I did hit a bump in the road while sewing as the sewing machine was not cooperating with me. The thread on top of the machine was getting stuck meaning that the thread colour on the bottom was all that was showing on the page. I had brown thread on top of the machine to match the brown containers and white on the bottom as no one will see the back so it doesn’t matter what colour it is. As the top thread was getting stuck all that was showing was the bottom thread. I got the machine working properly eventually and decided that it was okay that some of the white thread was showing.
After I sewed the baskets and boxes onto the page I placed the fruits and veggies into the boxes. While doing this I realized the stem on the cherries is not very sturdy which makes them hard to move so in the coming weeks I will find a new fruit or veggie to sew to replace the cherries. I am extremely happy with how this page came out and as I get more comfortable with the project and sewing machine I am having less problems which I am glad about.
