Corduroy Bear
The next page I worked on was a corduroy bear page. This page has both interactive and sensory aspects to it. The texture of the corduroy is soft and ribbed allowing readers to focus on their sense of touch. To make the bear I cut out the corduroy in the shape of a bear and attached it to the background. Then I sewed a mouth, nose and eyes onto a snout patch and attached the snout to the bears head. I sewed two paws and my next step is to attach them to the head in a way that the paws can be moved to play hide and go seek having the bear cover its eyes. Up until this point this page is the one I am most proud of. the bear was attached perfectly which was tricky as there are a lot of small corners around the ears.
