Starting my First Page
For my first page I decided to make the lion page. This page is intended to be sensory focused as it has a lot of ribbon on it. My first step was to cut out the background and iron the interface to it. Then I measure out all the ribbon I was going to use to ensure they were all the same size. I folded the ribbons and sewed them to the background. Then I cut out the circle which is the lions head and centred it on my page and sewed it into place. This was where my first problem came up. As I was sewing the lions head to the page it started to move so when I got to the end the fabric had bunched up. This was extremely frustrating as I was going to have to take out all of the stitches by hand which would be time consuming. This is what I ended up having to do. I took out all of the stitches and re attached the head this time taking my time and sewing it in small parts so that I could check and make sure it was still centred. This time it worked much better, the lions head is still off centre but I was happy with the end product.
