Week 8 Reflection
This week we had a PODS check in presentation. Each group presented a small portion of their final PODS project to the class and then the class provided feedback on padlet. After the presentations we discussed SAMR which stands for substitution, augmentation, modification and redefinition. SAMR helps educators integrates technology into teaching to enhance learning. We were broken up into groups and tasked with making adjustments to an activity according to SAMR. Some of these adjustments included for substitution instead of having students write their assignment they could type it. For augmentation we suggested that students could use things such as read to write to have the technology read to the students. This is super helpful especially if there are students who struggle to read this allows them to not fall behind. For modification we thought students could use different methods to show their learning such as by using a power point or other presentation platforms. Finally for redefinition we thought students could use platforms such as Minecraft education to further show their learning.
